A simple salad dressing recipe incorporating ginger.
Ginger Sesame Dressing:
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together grated ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
- Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Taste the dressing and adjust the ingredients according to your preference. You can add more soy sauce for saltiness, honey for sweetness, or vinegar for acidity.
- Once you’re satisfied with the flavor, transfer the dressing to a jar or container with a tight-fitting lid for storage.
- Shake well before using and drizzle over your favorite salad just before serving.
This dressing pairs wonderfully with a variety of salads, especially those featuring mixed greens, crunchy vegetables, and even grilled chicken or tofu. Enjoy!
