Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup natural peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cups hot water
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats.
- In a separate bowl, mix the natural peanut butter and hot water until well blended.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture into the flour and oats mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until it forms a smooth ball.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thickness and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
- Place the treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the treats to cool completely before serving to your furry friend.
This recipe makes about 2 dozen treats, depending on the size of the cookie cutters you use. You can store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks or in the fridge for up to a month.
