Ingredients:
For the main dish:
- 2 filet mignon steaks
- 4 strips of bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the side dish:
- 1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the grill to high heat.
- Wrap each filet mignon with 2 strips of bacon and secure with toothpicks. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place the filet mignons on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- While the steaks are grilling, toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill the asparagus for 3-4 minutes per side, or until tender and slightly charred.
- Remove the filet mignons from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before removing the toothpicks.
- Serve the filet mignons with the grilled asparagus on the side.
