Ingredients:
- 2 cups long grain white rice
- 2 cups water or chicken broth
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp butter or oil (optional)
Directions:
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch from the rice, resulting in fluffier cooked rice.
- Add the rinsed rice to the inner pot of your Ninja Foodi. Add the water or chicken broth and salt, and stir to combine. If using butter or oil, add it now.
- Close the pressure cooker lid and turn the valve to the “seal” position. Set the Ninja Foodi to cook on high pressure for 3 minutes.
- When the cooking cycle is complete, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes, then do a quick release of any remaining pressure.
- Open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Note: You can adjust the amount of water or broth to your liking, depending on how you prefer your rice. As a general rule, use 1 1/2 to 2 cups of liquid for every cup of rice. You can also use this recipe as a base for other types of rice, such as brown rice or wild rice. Simply adjust the cooking time and liquid amounts as needed.
