I haven’t been myself for a long time. Happy comes to visit periodically. It’s not from the lack of trying to be happy that’s for sure. I feel like I’m being used by those around me but I’m having a hard time deciding if that’s true or made up in my mind.
Why do I have a hard time figuring out what specifically is making me feel unhappy?
From my googling I found there can be many reasons why I might have a hard time figuring out why I feel unhappy.
I found these possibilities:
- It can be difficult to identify the root cause of our emotions. Sometimes our feelings are the result of a complex combination of factors that are difficult to unravel. Additionally, it’s possible that you are experiencing multiple emotions at the same time (e.g., sadness, anger, frustration), which can make it hard to pinpoint the specific cause of your unhappiness.
- You might be feeling disconnected from your emotions. Many people find it challenging to connect with their emotions and identify what they are feeling. This can be due to a variety of factors, such as past experiences that taught you to suppress your emotions, or a lack of practice in acknowledging and expressing your feelings.
- You may not have the language to express your emotions. It’s possible that you know you’re feeling unhappy, but you don’t have the vocabulary to describe the nuances of your emotional state. This can make it hard to understand and articulate what you’re feeling.
- Your unhappiness may be rooted in subconscious thoughts or beliefs. Sometimes we hold beliefs or thought patterns that are deeply ingrained and outside of our conscious awareness. These beliefs can affect our emotions without us realizing it.
- You may be experiencing symptoms of a mental health issue. Depression and anxiety, for example, can both cause feelings of unhappiness and make it difficult to identify the cause of those feelings. If you are concerned about your mental health, it may be helpful to speak with a mental health professional.
I need to take a few days and think about these possibilities because I feel just doing a quick read, it could, be more than one of these.
Today I did what I do best. Keep my mind calm by cleaning, organizing, and throwing things out.
I do believe a clean organized home creates a clear mind.
